Plain-language summary: Aspect needs your birth date, birth place, and birth time accuracy to calculate a chart. Those details, your readings, and your notes are private to your account. You can export or delete them at any time.
1. Who this policy covers
This policy explains how Aspect, operating Aspect from Delaware, United States, handles personal data in the Service. It applies to the website and the mobile apps.
2. What we collect
Account data (your email address and account status), birth details (birth date, selected birth place, and how precisely you know your birth time), optional focus preferences, the readings and reports generated for you, items you save and notes you write, support messages, subscription and purchase status, and technical data such as device type, approximate region, and error logs.
3. Birth details in particular
Birth details are the input the chart calculation needs; without them the Service cannot function. Birth place is selected from a list — the Service does not request access to your device location. Birth details you enter about another person for a comparison report are stored under your account, and you are responsible for having that person's permission before entering them.
4. Data we do not ask for
The Service does not ask for health information, religious belief, sexual orientation, relationship status, government identifiers, or precise location. Do not enter such information in notes or questions; if you do, it is stored as ordinary free text under your account and is not used to categorise you.
5. How your data is used
To calculate your chart and produce readings; to keep your saved items, notes, and history available across your devices; to operate subscriptions, purchases, and restores; to send the reminders and service emails you have enabled; to answer support requests; to detect abuse and keep the Service secure; and to understand aggregate product usage.
6. Automated processing
Chart calculations are deterministic. Written interpretations are generated automatically from the calculated chart facts, not written individually by a person. No decision with a legal or similarly significant effect on you is made by automated means.
7. Why we are allowed to process it
Where the law requires a legal basis, processing is carried out to perform the contract you enter when you use the Service, to meet legal obligations, on the basis of legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, or on your consent where consent is asked for (for example for notifications).
8. Who else sees it
Personal data is shared only with service providers acting on documented instructions — hosting and database infrastructure, email delivery, payment and app-store billing, error monitoring — and where disclosure is required by law or is necessary to protect users. Personal data is not sold, and is not shared for third-party advertising.
9. How long it is kept
Account data and birth details are kept while your account is open. Anonymous preview data entered before an account exists expires within 24 hours. After you request deletion, personal data is deleted within the period stated in the deletion confirmation, except where a record must be kept for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons.
10. Your rights
Subject to your local law, you may request a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Export and deletion can be requested directly from your account settings; both require you to confirm your identity. If you believe your data has been mishandled, you may complain to your local supervisory authority.
11. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access by staff is limited to what a role requires and is logged, and administrative actions on accounts are audited. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, you will be notified as required by applicable law.
12. Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under the minimum age stated at sign-up. Birth details entered by someone who does not meet that threshold are not retained. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and it will be removed.
13. International transfers
Data may be processed in countries other than the one you live in, including by the infrastructure providers described above. Where required, transfers are covered by an approved transfer mechanism.
14. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated. Material changes will be notified by a reasonable means and reflected in the date shown on this page. Aspect has been operating since 2026.
